Who is Out and About

Out and About was founded on the belief that transport should be safe, reliable, and person centred. With over 25 years of experience in mental health, public health, and community nursing, our founder Michael saw firsthand the barriers many people face when trying to access transport.

Meet Michael

Michael is a highly qualified Mental Health Nurse and registered health practitioner with AHPRA.

With a Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Certificates in Mental Health and Clinical Redesign, he brings a trauma informed, person centred approach to every journey.

Michael has led acute mental health teams across Newcastle and is deeply passionate about empowering individuals, reducing stigma, and improving quality of life.
